The shock value of these things has gone way down as a result. That's why WE at Mental Coffee, the magazine that cares about things which are cool, have put together this little piece to allow YOU, our devoted legions to stay one step ahead of the cutting edge of fashion. First of all, obtain a suitable cutting utensil. Electric razors, Weed Wackers(tm), and wire cutters are ineffective and a little bit silly. If you must use a pair of scissors, use a good cloth shears, not blunt safety scissors. The quality of your tools will be reflected in the end product, so choose well.
Locate your head. It's the end with the most orifices. You may wish to wear a drop cloth of some sort around your neck. This can get messy, especially the first time.
Grip your head firmly by the hair, so as not to drop it once you are done.
Plunge right in!
Clean the nub thoughly with soap and water to prevent infection.
Show all your friends your 'cool new trick'!
...and remember, you heard it here first!
